As in many countries, poker is also becoming very popular in Spain, and a good proof of it is the many poker competitions that are taking place at that country lately.
For instance, the last weekend took place the I Salamanca City Open, which had a participation of 100 players.
On Saturday, the first tournament day, the game lasted till very late, as only 30 players had to be left for the following day. At the end of this first phase Miguel Angel Rodriguez was at the top of the competition with 200.000 accumulated chips, however, this players will not managed to finished among the first 3 players.
On Sunday, the game lasted during all day long and at the end the last three players left made a deal and share the final prize, because they were too tired to keep going.
